Dear Valued Embark Member:

Over the past few years, the Embark Board of Directors has examined several strategies to ensure the growth and success of Embark Credit Union. The need to expand the ways in which we can support our members and community as well as offer growth opportunities to our staff led our focus to finding a strong merger partner. Today we are excited to announce a planned merger between Embark Credit Union and Horizon Credit Union.

This merger is good news for you! Embark and Horizon are two well-established, financially strong institutions with very similar values. Horizon is invested and well known in serving mid-sized communities like Great Falls. Both Credit Unions are deeply committed to community support, involvement, and volunteerism.

Our Embark staff will still be here when you phone or visit in person. In addition, we will have the backup support of Horizon employees to ensure we provide the best service and products possible. Our Embark employees will have more professional development and career opportunities than we could offer as Embark and our community will have more loan and deposit options.

You will have access to over 31 branches in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington as well as a full suite of digital banking options for around the clock access to your accounts.

There are many steps yet to be taken before this transition is complete. After regulatory approvals are obtained, there will be a vote by Embark members, anticipated to be early in 2022. Prior to the vote, you will receive information that will answer any questions you might have.
